I have a tendency to love all those classics (Lord of the Flies, Tale of Two Cities, Great Gatsby) that everyone else hates. :) No idea why. If you are in the mood for something more contemporary, I just read "Everything is Illuminated" by Jonathan Safran Foer. Very very good. I also really liked "Sarum" by Enrest Rutherford, it's a historical novel and about 1000 pages long though :P.

I love everything out of date, such as Les Miserables.

Six Wives Of Henry Viii
Virgin's Lover
Swann's Way
Memoir Of A Dutiful Daughter
Issac Babel's Works

Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco should keep you busy for a while. :D

Anybody have good books about Adventure? Philsophy? Love? A book like The Rule of Four? Or a Angels and Demons/Dan Brown kind of book?

I'm sure it'd be awfully anti-intellectual of me to suggest the Harry Potter series.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!

Actually it's a good book to read for recreational reading since it's interesting yet has tons of symbolism, so it's of "literary merit."

rule of four was a great book, just dont get bored when translating ancient text. I do not know a book like it, but another favorite of mine is (I dont remember exact title) THe life of a Geisha =). The movie was 1/3 as good as the book.

Anonymous91, I agree with you about Memoirs of a Geisha movie being 1/3 as good as the book it just isn't the same. Currently I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife, I heard it's amazing. The Rule of Four was an excellent book I enjoyed the ancient text and it was so interesting especially all the history about Hypnerotomachia Poliphili.

wow the first time I've seen people read the same books I do. Two words : LES MISERABLES by Victor Hugo. A must~!

Les Miserables is much more than a great book. I don't know how to put my feelings into words, the book changed my life forever.

Currently I am reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower, it is not my type of book, unique in its own way but it's way too dark.

Love Story, have you guys read that? The movie was good, the book, in a word, superb!

just LISTEN to me get "THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE" and you will thank me in a year

No fizix, Harry's cool.

^^ yep, amen to that.

i read the "Rule of Four" as well and it was fantastic.

LoveTHEarts: yeah, where can i get those too?

Slaughterhouse-Five, Kurt Vonnegut
Arrowsmith, Sinclair Lewis

Jo.InC, what are you referring to?

^^"Anybody have good books about Adventure? Philsophy? Love? A book like The Rule of Four? Or a Angels and Demons/Dan Brown kind of book?"

I was about to ask the same thing. :D sorry if it was confusing :D
