I'm a junior in mechanical engineering right now with my 3.3 GPA and a 3.4 major GPA. I don't have any related work experience but i will be doing research this summer and hopefully next year. I have yet to take the GRE but considering my GPA i know i'm not getting into schools like MIT anytime soon. I wondering if anyone could point out some good schools that i can be competitive in. I'm thinking of concentrating in either aerospace or maybe fluid power.

University of Maryland: College Park; their Aerospace Engineering program is really good. Look into it.

Best wishes!

Auburn University. It has a very good engineering program – I would say on par with many higher-ranked institutions. Make sure you look at the research done here and see if it fits your interests in advance of applying.
