I'm an incoming senior trying to put together a list of prospective colleges. I'm not sure of a major yet, but leaning towards double-majoring in Psychology/Theology or something along those lines.

I have approximately a 4.1-4.2 weighted GPA, 2210 SAT (670M, 740CR, 800W). I go to a single-sex private school that doesn't rank. By the end of next year I'll have taken 5 APs.
I have good extracurriculars and will hopefully write good essays.

I would really like to go a Catholic college if possible. A lot of Catholic schools are quite small/obscure; I'm hoping to go somewhere with strong academics, though I'm not sure where I'd be able to get in.

With your GPA and test scores, you would very likely be awarded the “University Scholars” scholarship (about $20,000/year) if you apply by Nov 15 to the (Jesuit) University of San Francisco. That would be a great safety for you.

Take a look at St. Michael’s College at the U of Toronto…all the advantages of a small elite Catholic college, but part of a large world-class research university. Probably the only Catholic schools in the US that are as good would be Notre Dame, Boston College, Georgetown, Fordham, Villanova, and Holy Cross.

Also check out Santa Clara University in California.
