Good class with amazing professor or amazing class with good professor?

Which one would you pick and why?

Depends on the classes and professors...there are a lot of factors that would go into it beyond the class's basic quality and professor quality....probably go w the best prof but if the course had special significance for my field of study, etc.....

That seems like a win win situation to me

The former. An amazing professor can make a good professor great.

Go for the amazing professor every time -- even for a class that sounds boring!

amazing professors can make mediocre classes amazing. bad professors can turn best classes into worst courses

I would go with the former.

How can a class be amazing if it only has an okay professor? In my experience, the skill of the professor makes the course.

Former. It's uniamious.

Word. I've found 100% of the time that how good a class is comes down to how good the prof is, not how interesting I theoretically find the material. Material only comes into play when you're trying to decide which of two amazing profs to take/call the best class/whatever.

Obviously, this is assuming the material is within your range of ability/vague interest. Even the best prof ever isn’t going to make a high level math class interesting to me, because the material will be over my head.
