would you guys rather pick classes on what times they are held and what kind of schedule you want? or would you rather pick classes based on the kinds of teachers and how good they are? (you can know by going to ratemyproffessor.com)

so write a quick comment below. type in either TEACHER QUALITY or CLASS TIME.

just interested in what you guys think! good luck with class scheduling this week

PROFESSORS FOR SURE. a good professor will challenge you and make you eager to learn more.

class times only if it's something i can't avoid (conflicting classes, for example) or if there are 2 equally good professors but one is an 8am while the other is a 1pm.

by the time you get to upper-division classes, you won't have much of a choice in scheduling anymore. i was the queen of sleeping in for the first two years, but then the 11 AM rising time really got to me afterward -- i missed a ton of lecture and it was absolute HELL trying to make myself a morning owl. it sounds trite now, but learn to appreciate the daylight hours. sure, the occasional sleeping-in is refreshing, but don't make it a habit, otherwise you'll be missing out on a lot.
