Good classes for a&l, bio and international breadths? (l&s)

Does anyone know good classes (Good average grade or good prof or low units/work) for the following breadths?

Arts and Literature
Biological Sciences
International Studies

Thanks in advance.

For International Studies, you should definitely look into Near Eastern Studies C26/Geography C55. It’s a pretty chill class. The professor assigns readings, but you don’t have to do them (and she doesn’t check). No HW. No tests. One midterm paper (piece of cake) and one 15-20 page research paper thats graded pretty leniently (as far as I know, almost everyone got A’s on the midterm paper, not sure about the research paper). You’re required to show up to class (20% grade based on attendance), but some of her lectures are quite interesting and engaging. And if not, just surf the web on your laptop for 1.5 hours.

My friend took Near Eastern Studies 18 to clear the same breadth, and he said its really easy and interesting too (probably more interesting than C26). There’s HW, tests, and a research paper, though.

So depending on how you learn, one class may be easier than the other.

For biological sciences I’d recommend a class from the ESPM department if you’re a humanities major. You don’t need a lot of science knowledge to do well.
