I’m currently a senior. I want to apply to a school that is good at Computer Science.
Since I’m an international student, I would need financial aids.
I’m considering some schools to apply ED/EA to. It would be great if you can help me.
I’m currently looking at Cornell, MIT, Columbia, Pomona, etc. I’m fine with LAC, as long as they have good courses.
Cornell seems to be a good choice for ED, but I afraid that I have a tini tiny chance of getting into MIT :D. I don’t know if I should risk. If you have any good/ fitter school, please suggest me.
My stats: ACT 35, SAT II: Chem: 800, Maths 2: 800, Physics 790. My EC are okay. My best one is creating an IOS/Android app that help students to revise Mathematics. Expected contribution: $15,000 - $20,000 per year.
Hope you can help.
Thanks a lot.
The well-funded Hamilton offers a strong array of computer science courses (https://www.hamilton.edu/academics/departments/Courses-and-Requirements?dept=Computer%20Science) and has performed well in coding competitions:

Both need-based financial aid and merit scholarship money is very limited for international students.
I suggest you consider:
Rice
University of Southern California
University of Rochester
These 3 seem to have good CS programs and offer relatively good aid to internationals, but may be a little less familiar to many international students than MIT or the Ivies. For what it’s worth, US News ranks all of them among the top 40 national universities.
Those 3, Hamilton, and other colleges that claim to meet 100% of demonstrated need are listed here:
https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2017-09-21/colleges-that-claim-to-meet-full-financial-need
Almost all of the above are need-aware for internationals. So, high need could reduce your chances if you are near the borderline. The few schools on that list that are need blind for internationals include Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, and Amherst. However, those 5 are among the most selective colleges.
Some schools offer large merit scholarships automatically for qualifying stats. Many of these scholarship programs are listed here:

If any of these interest you, be sure their scholarships are available to international students.
