Good Course Selection?

I am planning my senior year courses and am wondering if the following is a demanding but doable schedule

AP CSA
AP GOV
AP CALC BC
AP CHEM
AP SPANISH
Honors Contemporary Literature
Honors Environmental Science

I play three varsity sports, am on a few demanding clubs, and in student gov’t

The combination of classes you’ve chosen is extremely rigorous and I personally think it is not a good idea to take five AP classes and two honors classes while keeping up with your EC activities. Depending on the quality of the teacher, your past track record, and your academic strengths the schedule is doable, but not advisable. AP Chem is a lot of work and is the only non A that my daughter has received in her entire academic career. She ended up with an A- in the class and a 4 on the exam. AP Calc BC is also a more difficult class as it begins to tackle some more theoretical aspects of arithmetic. The other AP classes are not necessarily difficult but you should be prepared for a lot of work and there are only 24 hours in a day.

If you take AP Chem, don’t take Environmental Science. I would also drop AP CS unless you already code. Stick to five academic subjects.

The OP asked the question over a year ago. Presumably, they have the answers they need. Closing.
