Good elective?

I'm a first year Engineering student..have to pick an elective for my first term..I want to take econ but it can't be a "number crunching course", has to be writing..I want to pull a slick A+..there's like a thousand classes to pick from..lets here some suggestions.

Also, should I use my electives to go for a minor…or would you recommend just taking classes that I think I can cream to help out my GPA?

If you just need to kill gen ed requirements, take a logic course in like the philosophy department. I did that and got an A+ with virtually no effort at all, while still getting credit for a couple different gen ed categories.

for my upper elective for engineering, I chose ‘technology venture’, which is a combination of engineering + business. I got an A+ in that class. It was easier for most people.

Just take a “Modern look at X country/society/niche” class.

Or Human Sexuality.

My girlfriend took a human sexuality class and hated it because it was some HUGE lady that shared stories of her sexual exploits and didn’t actually know what she was talking about who was teaching it. haha
