Good Essays...

Hi everyone,

I have recently been hearing about people who wrote essays with "metaphors" to bring out themselves...such as liking/disliking a particular fruit or vegetable, chocolate, gold...basically something that seems random at first but connects into really bringing out a person's character.

Do good essays have to be so unique and metaphorical? Or can they just be about something you are really passionate about, even if it isn't as unique?

Thanks!

Write what works for you. If you have a passion for sonething and it shows who you are, then that would be a good way to go

i agree with splat11. The purpose of the essays is to show them who you are. If they think u suit yale then yale suits u. It’s about painting a picture for them to see who you really r and let them see for themselves ur personality and characteristics. You don’t have to write for the essay’s sake, just write about something real and something that means alot to u. Everything’s probably already been written but i doubt another person would write something the same as urs if u write about urself cause there’s only 1 u in this world hehe
