Good financial engineering, Applied Math,or Applied Math-Econ programs?

for undergraduates, in the northeast region? (Say from DC to mass.)

I'm currently a student in community college and I've initially been searching for good finance programs to transfer to but I'm starting to develop an interest in the more mathematical aspect of finance. What are some good programs that are either Applied Math / Econ, Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, etc. in the northeast region? I know that Brown's program is stellar and I'm definitely applying to that, but what are some similarly and slightly lower ranked programs in this area? Thanks!

Anybody know of any such programs?

Princeton is outstanding, but obviously it’s a stratospheric reach.

I don’t know about finance, but SUNY Stony Brook is extremely strong in math, with a particularly good applied math department: [Stony Brook University - Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics](http://www.ams.sunysb.edu/)

columbia university

UC Berkeley

transferring to Drexel’s Business and Engineering program with a finance concentration, you’ll get two co-ops (six month work experiences). This program is very quant based, has more math built into it than traditional engineers (four calculus courses, linear algebra, and two calculus based statistics courses just to name a few), and offers a bunch of other courses not offered in traditional finance courses such as linear modeling/operations research courses. There are a lot of B&E/finance majors that become actuaries or get easy i-banking jobs because of their quantitative experiences. You also take engineering electives eg: statics, thermo, civil/architectural engineering, cad, etc etc. (and don’t forget about all your calculus based engineering physics and chemistry!)
