Good GPA but not a decent SAT score

I'm worried that my scores from the most recent SAT (June 1st) won't necessarily cut it for what the colleges I'm applying to are looking for. I wanted to see if there was anyone who was in the same boat, but still got accepted to their university of choice. My scores came out as follows:

C.R. - 490
Mathematics - 450
Writing - 560

With an overall score of 1500, I'm a little on edge about getting accepted. I have a 3.83 Cum.UW GPA with a 3.81 W GPA. This past semester I came out with a 4.33 UW GPA, so I don't exactly think I'm one to really slack all that much. However, multiple-choice test taking has never been my strong suit, and I'm hoping the poor score don't be my downfall of getting into college. I plan on taking the SAT for the last time in October before my college application deadlines come around, so I'm going to try to score higher. (This was my first time taking my SAT, by the way.)

The colleges I'm hoping to get accepted into are: UC Davis (which is my "reach"), Ohio State University, Cal Poly Pomona (my safety), Oklahoma State University, University of Tennessee, Colorado State University, and Texas A&M University. All the help I can get from you guys out there would be great, thanks.

Try the act. By the way, unweighted gpa is maxed out at 4.0.

@classof2015hs, Sorry. Got them mixed up, thanks for catching that.

I thought about taking the ACT, because after doing a lot of college research for some of my classes this year, I noticed that a lot of the colleges here in California didn’t particularly put a lot of emphasis on the ACT, or at least as much as the other out-of-state colleges I wanted to apply to did.

I might go ahead and try my luck on that, thanks.

You could try the ACT which might play better to your strengths.

Alternatively you could try test-optional colleges, like Bates (just throwing the name as an example - not suggesting it). There’s a list on Fairtest.org

Cal Poly Ponoma is test optional. Extracurriculars?
