good grades vs good program

hi guys!
if im aiming for a MBA, which one worths more:

a typical major and a concentration (e.g. finance major, accounting minor) with good grades, like gpa >3.5?

OR

a honours program in investment management or double degree in Finance and Accounting but with 'not as good' grades. e.g. GPA ~ 3.0

thanks!

Good grades. Good work experience. Good GMAT.

I'll act like an annoying college representative and say...
Good grades at a good program :P

Aim for minimum 3.7 with need for honors depending on quality of your school.

Really, you should ask yourself which program will get you a better job. Will you land a better job with the 3.0 honors or a 3.5+ non-honors. MBA programs will look more favorable on the 3.5+ GPA but work experience is what will make the biggest difference.
