Good Honors Colleges

I’m a high school senior who has applied to some of the top schools. I applied to a few of them early action and have been deferred from Tulane and Northeastern. As of right now I am thinking that maybe it’s a good idea to apply to a school that’s a little bit easier to get into, but has a good honors college. I know it’s really late into the application season and most schools’ deadline have passed, but does anyone know of any good honors college school that are still accepting applications?

Arizona State Barrett Honors is really excellent. They have a late consideration option with Feb 24 deadline.

And if you hurry Alabama has Feb 1 deadline and you apply for honors college after getting accepted. The basic academic credentials are outlined online. I think you need 1360 sat and a certain gpa. But also a great school.

Thank you!!

@privatebanker Do you know if the 1360 SAT requirement is strict? I ended up getting a 1350 which is literally answering one less question correctly. I know that’s the minimum and it may be hard to get in with this score, but I think I have extracurriculars and essays that make up for it.

1350 will be ok for Barrett.
Alabama’s Honors college’s deadline was Dec1.
U Alabama Huntsville is another college to look into.
What are your safeties?

We have been really impressed with the University of Arizona Honors College so far. They are building a new honors dorm village that will be open for Fall 2019 - it’s going to be beautiful!

I have decided that I am not going to be applying to another school with an honors college. It was a difficult decision, but the only public school I ended up applying to is UMichigan. My safeties were Seton Hall and UVM and I have been admitted into both and invited to apply to the Seton Hall honors program. I’m just going to see what happens with my other schools.
