<p>What is a good econ 51D textbook to self-study from?
I saw that current text is Economics by Parkin. I don't know if
it's a good book or not though b/c it has mixed reviews.</p>

<p>.... usually you go with the book that the class uses so I'd recommend the Parkins book ... it's not really that great but imo principles is not THAT important of a class...youll get a good taste of econ at Econ 55</p>
