Currently I'm looking at College of Wooster and Drew University. Drew University has some Wall Street Seminar that really sparked an interest. Is there any other LACs with strong Economics Departments?

Bates, Claremont McKenna, Colgate, Denison, Middlebury, Williams.

Also Hamilton, Swarthmore, Bowdoin, Colby, Trinity, Elon, St. Lawrence, Rollins and Holy Cross.

Amherst, Babson, Macalaster, Lafayette, Hamilton, Grinnell

Trinity, Trinity, Trinity, Trinity, Trinity, Trinity, Trinity.

Trinity.

I cannot stress that one enough.

It's one of the best economics programs in the country, much less just among liberal arts colleges, and your internship opportunities in and around Hartford are almost unmatched. You would be nuts not to look there.

Also Bentley in Mass. and Bryant in Rhode Island, although they're considered more as undergraduate business schools than LACs.

Elon is not an LAC. They are building a law school in Greensboro.

Is it better to have a Major from an LAC or just a UNI in econ. in terms of job placement? Also, is trinity coll. econ. good in terms of job placement? What about babson?

thx 4 any replies!

I'll third Trinity, and Babson is hard to judge on job placement b/c many go righ into business, usually their own, right after graduation.

Incidentally, my brother did the Wall Street Semester at Drew and had an amazing time. It's the only program like it in the country, and they just revamped the econ curriculum.
