Good luck, G Bless and G Speed

As the time approaches and the hours countdown, I just wanted to take the time to say to all of the future 2nd Lts 2012, we wish you well. Our thoughts, prayers and wishes will be with each of you for the next 4 yrs. Thank you for your willingness to serve, and thank your family for their willingness to support our country.

Good Luck…Gd Bless…GD Speed

Go AIR FORCE…ABOVE ALL

PS make sure that you assist Potter on windy days :)

aw geez pima just say God..

thanks! i know we'll appreciate all the "folks back home" alot. they're the main ones sending us our letter :) and they're part of the reason we got here.

Needle,

I'll make sure she talks to our Padre tomorrow asking for forgiveness. I'm sure he'll be understanding she said the "G" word; probably just make her say a few extra Hail Marys as her penitence.

However, I do want to add my own words for all you 2012ers. How proud and excited I am for all of you! You are about to embark on something special: the start of your dreams! Times will be tough, and there will be days where it seems the whole world is against you. I want you all to know that all of us in the AD have your back--we WANT you to succeed! You will be the ones we pass the torch onto, the ones to lead the next generation of America's warriors. What an awesome responsibility we are entrusting to you, and I know you all will make us proud. Take heart that in those times that you are down; we are there in spirit cheering you on towards your goal!

To the cadre and the rest of the upperclassmen: Congrats on being one step closer. Remember as well, America has given you an awesome responsibility this year; getting the young ones in 2012 trained and ready for the mission they will face (defending and protecting this country). Always keep that in the back of your mind as you are leading them: How will this make them a better officer, one America can trust with its security? I know you will do your best!

Lastly, to the parents: how proud you all must be of your young sons and daughters as they prepare to leave your nest and spread their wings (no puns intended). And how nervous you must be as well! Your children will leave you so soon, and go off to an environment unlike anything other sons and daughters of friends you know will ever experience. Your children will return to you in less than a year (if only for a little while) changed; mature beyond anything you thought they could be, with a bearing and demeanor you never thought that could ever achieve. They will speak in foreign tongues to you, full of acronyms and asides you will have no clue about. They will keep their rooms clean and be up before you most days! Most importantly, you will drop them off as children next week, and they will return to you as adults a few months later. You will be amazed! And in a few short years, you will have a tear in your eye as you witness their taking of the oath of office. Kiss them quickly when you drop them off next week, let them know how much you love them, and take pride in knowing that you have raised them right. They have answered our Nation's call.

So, like Pima said; Good Luck, Gd Bless, and Gd speed to you all! See you in a few years, I'll keep the cockpit seat warm for you....

Bullet

What Bullet said.

I do want to congratulate everyone for making it this far, and continue to know that we are all behind you. Hopefully, I'll be in the same situation next year.

Well said...we met some 2012's last evening at a send off and they were all great. Looks like a good class to me. I know there's not a lot of time but try to write your parents early on and let them know what squadron and flight you are in. Parents and friends should start writing now so they'll have mail early on. Webguy on the Association of Graduates website should start posting photos on Thursday and will also give parents/friends a sense on what the Basic's schedule is for the day.

Just noticed...webguy is going to charge for access to ALL photos. Apparently he will only post a few for free.

I guess it's one way to increase membership in the AOG

Pima I don't have to worry so much about getting blown of the tzo, I get to walk in the middle and if i do get blown towards the edge the line of 4 degrees should stop me before I get tottally blown off.

Well we all just want to keep you safe :)

Out of curiosity for the 4 digs...how often should they expect to catch you before being totally blown off?

Hopefully not to many, I hope I won't be too light after CST though.
