Good Luck Rituals

On a lighter though still serious note,

Does anyone have good luck rituals they'd like to share with me?

I'm probably wearing all red this coming SAT, thats a asian good luck color.

I always have some sort of pasta the night before, and then have a milkshake and bagel the morning of. I also always wear my lucky shirt.

And then of course there’s the religious stuff.

I play a bit of Brain Age in the morning of any large test (APs and SATs) after brushing my teeth and stuff.

One ritual that I always do before taking an important test is wearing my socks BACKWARDS. Trust me, it works. Try it and you’ll see.

I just the wore the shirt of the college I wanted to attend, as sort of motivation. I did quite a bit better when doing this.

I eat a good well-rounded breakfast and make it as healthy as possible: some kind of omelet, salad, fruit-shake, whole wheat bread or the Jewish challah (if the test is on Sunday and there’s some left from the weekend), chamomile tea to calm my nervous, Or if I don’t fell like doing all of that I make Shakshuka which is a tomato sauce with two sunny side up eggs, cooked in a pan until the yuck is half ready and the fruit-shake. All the while repeating some of the material.
For the night before I try to avoid eating heavy foods like burgers and fries or pizza. And make sure to get at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep but no more so not to feel sleepy.

I dont believe in such things.I only have some breakfast - nothing special ,drink a redbull ,and go to the test center

I usually just go to bed early.

All the best!

I wear this Buddhist necklace thing my grandmother gave me. It’s sort of a protective talisman. Not exactly a good luck charm, but I take whatever help I can get. :)

Also, I’m going to shower in the morning rather than the night before. I have REALLY long hair, so it takes quite a while to wash and dry, but I always feel so much more comfortable when I do this. And my shampoo is really citrusy, so if I start not focusing so well on the test I’ll just take a whiff of my hair and I’ll be back on track!

I have a theory that waking up early to review, even if I sleep early the night before always hampers me in tests. So I strongly advise DO NOT WAKE UP EARLIER THAN YOU NEED TO :)

My good luck procedure is preparing and studying. ;)

not sure if this is a ritual, but i always think i fail right after taking a standardized test

but i’ve always done just fine

sleep at 9:00 for the week before the test, eat a normal breakfast (for me cheerios), do 3 problems from each section in the morning.
