<p>Some med schools produce a high percentage of doctors that go into academic medicine/research other other med schools produce doctors that go into primary care. The schools on both lists are the same.</p>
<p>If you're interested in research, the USN rankings are actually pretty good. If you're interested in primary care, most medical schools prepare you pretty well for that, but USN also puts together a list for that (unknown how good it is).</p>
<p>Unfortunately, USN does not put out a detailed list for specialty rankings, which is what most people are interested in anyway.</p>
<p>There are only 126 medical schools in the US. They're all very good. Maybe if you told us more about what you were looking for, we could help more.</p>
