what majors are great at harvard for undergrad?
are they good at UG engineering?
i know harvard business school is great, but is their undergrad business good?

I think you would pretty much be happy in any concentration at Harvard. Each concentration is flooded with resources and possesses a strong faculty.

Engineering has grown in popularity and strength and is the only concentration that offers both an A.B. and an S.B.

Finally, Harvard College is a liberal arts institution, so there is no business concentration. Furthermore, we as undergraduates cannot cross register at the Business school, so the typical path taken by many Harvard undergraduates looking towards business will concentrate in Economics and take some of the pre-business requirements (like Accounting) at MIT.

Most respected business schools – at least the ones I have encountered – do not have any “pre-business requirements”. I would never discourage anyone interested in business from taking a few accounting courses, but it’s not required for b-school admission.

If you look at the top 20 or so American universities and colleges, only a handful offer undergraduate business programs (Penn (Wharton), Cornell (Ag School), MIT), although if you go a little farther down the food chain they become more common. Needless to say, students at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Chicago, Dartmouth, etc. are not disadvantaged when they pursue business careers for having attended colleges without business majors.
