Good Pre-med schools

What non-ivy schools in the north east have good pre-med programs? Please post especially if you are a pre-med major at a northeast college.

I would have to say: Tufts, Haverford, Bowdoin, Carleton, Hopkins

Mid-teer places are: Boston College, Brandeis, Lehigh, NYU

Lower teer but respectable programs are: Boston University, Trinity College, Conneticut College and other mid teer liberal arts colleges

what exactly is a good pre-med program? one where more students get accepted into a med school, or one where the students r more prepared for med school?

Colby College has a fairly good Pre-Med program here-- not to mention the science facilities and staff are amazing (we're the only colelge in Maine with an electrospray mass spectrometer or electron microscope).

80% colby grads who apply are accepted to med school, and, apparently, andyone with a decent MCAT and over 3.5 GPA will be guaranteed admission from Colby...though, where is that not true?

and what exactly is a decent mcat score? my friend is going to duke med school. and her mcat score was below 30. but her extracurriculars were spectacular. i haven't heard of colby. where is it?

Is she a urm?

what's a urm?

urm = under represented minority?

and I believe that Colby is in Maine.

any school is good for premed if you do well in the premed classes get a good MCAT score, and have a resume that will make mother theresa (may God bless her) shake at the knees...its as simple as that.

haha, Doogie.

Yep, VPat, Colby's in Waterville, ME. It's sister colleges are Bates and Bowdoin (maybe you've heard of one of those schools?). Anyhue, it's a great (Top 20) Liberal Arts school-- I love it anyways-- with top notch professors, a great atmosphere, and ample research/EC opportunities.
