Hey guys, I'm in the middle of constructing my schedule for this week's registration and I was wondering who the best professor is to take for Math 218 Probability for Business. I wanted to take my current calc professor Voineagu for math 218, but the LINC class screwed me over. So I was wondering if Lytvak or Dumett is good.

LINC messed up my choices too, lol.

Hi. My H is on the math faculty.

Lytvak is Russian, more quiet, a little to the studious/nerdy side.

Dumett is Peruvian, a bit more on the gregarious, friendly side. He's an adjunct prof, normally works at JPL. He's taught 218 several times.

Conclusion: Students can learn from both, it depends what kind of teaching style you prefer.

Ah, I had signed up for Dumett originally, but had some conflicts so I changed to Song. Know anything about Qingshuo Song, FindAPlace?

H says he doesn't know anything about him, sorry.

so which one actually teaches the material effectively and gives out reasonable exams?

Of Lytvak and Dumett, it sounded like the nod went to Dumett.

Did the professors change for each time? I registered earlier on today with "Dumett" and now it's changed to "Yin". Did this happen to anyone else?

I heard the same thing happened last semester.

whatever so far the "suggestions" didn't help. I'm taking my chances with Yin.

does anyone know anythin about yin? LINC screwed me over too. and the only stuff i can fit in is with yin
