Are you a junior? If so, you have time.

Also take the ACT…you may do better on that.

however, that said, your PSAT and SAT are high enough to make NMSF and NMF…so congrats.

Thanks for your praise, and I am a junior. I’m still unhappy with my scores though, becuase they don’t match up with my PSAT’s at all, so I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on how to improve them further. I know the last few hundred points are not easy to get and my scores might drop further, but anything that might help would be appreciated. Especially regarding the writing section.

Unless you were very lucky on the PSATs, you should have no problem repeating your performance on the SATs as well. Practice, Practice, Practice. Go through each test on the blue book, analyze what you need to work on, and improve.

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you…

236 PSAT and a 2120 SAT (first try)

The 2260 is fine. Chill out.

The SAT is almost twice as long as the PSAT, so there is more room for errors especially on the math with it’s very harsh scale. Since you are obviously a very capable student you need to practice as much as you can with the Blue Book, free on-line practice test, and any other College Board tests you can get your hands on. It has been my experience that even very good students take the SAT 2-3 times before they reach their goal. Good luck, you still have plenty of time.

thanks, everyone :)
