Hi, I am planning to self-study either AP European History or AP World History and I am wondering if anyone who has self-studied one or both of these classes or has taken the class can 1) tell me which one is easier and 2) recommend a good textbook? Thanks so much.

I am self-studying world. Personally I believe world is easier as it involves less detail. European History is a lot narrower and difficult to generalize. I find World to be interesting, so I would recommend it. If you do study APWH, I would recommend Strayer as your textbook, Princeton Review and/or REA Crash Course as your prep book. I would highly recommend getting a membership on Albert.io as AP World revised practice questions are few and far between.
