good schedule change????

Hello Everybody. This is my first post and would like to say that this is an amazing site. I am junior and I recently changed my schedule and wondered if this was a good schedule change for college, UC's to be specific, or a bad one.

First schedule
1st - Calculus AB AP
2nd - US History AP
3rd - English 3 AP
4th - Physics
5th - Weight Training (body building)
6th - Computer Applications
7th - Basketball

and now my changed schedule (I will explain the reason for the change in a bit)
1st - Calculus AB AP
2nd - French 2
3rd - English 3 AP
4th - Physics
5th - US History (no AP)
6th - Computer Applications
7th - Basketball

The reason I had to change it because most schools recommend (UC's) 3 years of foreign language but the only way I could take French 2 this year was to drop US History AP because they were taught only in the same 2nd period. This way I could take French 3 my senior year. I could of taken French 2 my senior year, but I was afraid the samething might happen again, where French 2 was in conflict with another AP class. This was the reason I did not decide to take French 2 my senior year. And plus with this schedule I could put 3 years of Foreign Language in my application, but the downside is that I cannot put US History AP in my aoolication.

I Know this is a long post, but please can someone honestly say if this was a wise and smart decision, or was it a very bad decision? Thanks everybody who took their time to read this and answer.

If you are doing it only because it will look better on an app, it's probably not a smart move... Not because of the move, because of the reason...

The main reason I did it was because I didnt want to risk not being able to take french 2 my senior year because of another conflict with an AP class. That was the reason I did it.

I think it is good move because as you stated if french interfere next year it will just make the situation worse... also because you took weight training in your first schedule, thats not even an academic class... just train at home lol

yeah lol *** is up with weight lifting???

how does that constitute a class?

"We'll check your BMI before and after the class, significant improvement = A?"

ur obviously better off with 3 aps than 2 if u can get a decent grade. seriously, dont worry about the 3 yrs recommended thing. tons of ppl at my college prep school ony take 2 yrs
