Good sign?!

I sent in an update and got a really nice email back from the admin officer telling me how pleased she was that I was doing all these new things, congratulating me, etc. Do you reckon this is a good sign or just a standard thing? Anyone else received an email like this?

I assume you sent an update to her? It is common practice to respond so a student has confirmation that their update was received.

Hey Dean J–I sent in an update/letter, but only got an email back saying that they had received it but I sent it to the wrong email or something. I think they said they would link it to you or another Dean but I never got any confirmation or anything in response. Should I be worried about this?

SAME HERE ^
but i’m assuming they forwarded it to the right email for us?

Nothing to worry about. Sometimes, we’re so busy that we just forward the email to be filed. Some of the deans/counselors will respond just to say “got it, thanks, good job” and I don’t want dreaming to read into that.

If I faxed mine, would it be fine?

Of course!

Thanks, Dean J. I realise I was probably reading into it a lot, but I’ve not really heard anywhere about people receiving replies to their update emails! Plus, there was always the chance that you’d say “ooh, that’s unusual, they must really like you!” ;)
