I am pretty much 100% planning on going to grad school or law school. From a purely academic standpoint, would it be a good idea to choose UMD College Park over USC for undergrad? From the honors college at MD, can I get into the same grad/law schools I could get into from USC? I would have half tuition at USC, but it would still be a strain on my resources, whereas MD would cost less than my high school. If I choose MD, my parents would pay for a lot of my grad school.

No one really cares where u do undergrad if u have an advanced degree … BUT u need to ACE MD and kill LSAT/GRE to get into Tier 1 Grad or LAW !!

my 2 cents …

i mean md CP is a highly ranked public university and definitely the best school available for not that much money for MD students…don’t tier 1 law/grad schools recognize that not every student can afford to go to private schools or even out of state state schools?

You can get into a top law school from your home-state public U. Don’t worry about that. The name on your diploma is going to be a lot less important than your GPA and your LSAT score.

Law school is very expensive. You are well off to attend the college or university that will be the least expensive for you for your bachelor’s degree. Save your money for law school.
