Im hoping to get admitted into UCF or USF...and i was wondering what are the good/bad things about USF?

USF and UCF are similar in many ways. One plus I think for USF right now, and its undergraduate students particularily, is that I think USF has capped the number of freshmen being admitted while UCF is still admitting far more new freshmen than USF and UCF is still growing at a rapid pace with over well over 50,000 students. Both schools admit large numbers of transfer upperclassman students. USF is committed to its undergraduates, but also has large graduate and research programs–more so than UCF. In these budget cutting times, USF may be in better shape than UCF financially and better positioned to weather the lean money times by not growing in student numbers as rapidly as UCF still is, in spite of state funding cutbacks. UCF is still growing and admitting more and more students, but how is UCF going to hire and retain quality instructors and professors for the additional students with less money in its pockets? Just my humble opinion.

I am thinking of joining USF in the summer, then I will continue for the fall. How is USF’s location?

The summer is always dead, both campus and social life. It’s a very nice campus though. If you’re going to take classes durinf the summer, take as many as possible to keep yourself occupied.
