Just like the title says. But when is it a good time for high schoolers to make a visit? Avoiding breaks and holidays is almost a rule of thumb now.

Best times, IMO, are Sept. Things are still gorgeous on campus but we actually have students here.

I think the summer in general is nice, if you're willing to avoid construction.

I was a summer tour guide, FWIW...

After the second week in November and straight through until March the weather is unpredictable. I like when their are leaves on the trees, personally. Late October, when the leaves are turning, is actually probably even better than Sept.

Come whenever you are available, but make sure that it is a time when students are on campus. You want to get a good sense of the students. Also, try to make the trip when other high school students aren't. That way you will get a sense of what life on the campus is really like, normally. As for a particular week or month, it doesn't really matter.

The campus may not be gorgeous in November through March, but since you have to live there as a student, it's not a bad idea to see it then.

Winter break ends the third week of January; Spring Recess is March 22-30 but remember that many students leave late the week before so the campus will be emptying out on the 21. Definitely avoid going during ADOCH, which is the program in April for accepted students. Going during Spring weekend might be problematic. I would also question visiting campus during reading period, when most classes are canceled and students are writing papers and studying for finals.

And remember that if you go during the week in April when most HS have April break, the campus is overrun with hordes of applicants and the info sessions and tours are very big.

I actually think ADOCH and Spring Weekend are awesome times to see campus.

I hate when people come when it's ugly because people are stupid and go places based on how it looks. I just posted my favorite times of year on campus for the whole feel.. to me October is one of hte best times to get a feel for Brown.
