I was wondering whether taking an SATII for your own native language would affect your chances of admission.
The first time I took the Korean SAT II I scored a 760, then 800.

If you don't get an 800 you will look like an idiot. Otherwise it will do nothing for you.

I don't think it will help you much since there are plenty of people out there who are bilingual but don't have an SAT II offered in their language. Colleges are using SAT IIs to determine how much you have learned in school, not whether or not your family speaks a language that is offered as an SAT II. And I also agree with Billhpike that you won't look very good if you get less than an 800.

What's a good score (or one that is somewhat competitive) for a top tier for a non native speaker? The natives seem to really distort the curve.
