good undergrad math schools?

What are some good undergrad math schools that are also strong in business? i want to go into possibly banking trading or quant but i think math will give me more options and leverage over finance majors. now i wont be getting into the ivys so you can leave those out

You may want to look into Stevens Tech in Hoboken, NJ. They have a quantitative finance program (with an actual simulated trading floor) that is well respected by Wall Street.

What are your stats, family contribution, geographical and size preferences? Too many colleges to look for and need to narrow down.

Yes those details would be nice. Stevens has that specifically and if it fits his other criteria it is worth looking into.

Brandeis
UVA
Northeastern
University of WAshington

I would prefer a bigger school, SAT: 630 CR 770 Math 680 Writing
GPA: 3.4303 bad ik but upward trend and rigorous courses especially in math: Calc bc as a senior now.
Pretty good EC

If finances are a consideration (and even if they aren’t), the publics at Stonybrook in NY and Rutgers in NJ are excellent in math.

my current list is: uva umd lehigh routers fordham penn st indiana uflorida binghamton stony brook and cuse

rutgers*

and purdue

bump

i think you have a good list. Rutgers, if you are NJ resident, is not too bad of a safety.

bump

Rutgers is quite respectable in math. Note that it offers honors calculus 2 and 3 courses, which are likely smaller and more rigorous than the normal ones. It offers many pure and applied junior/senior level math courses, including those which may interest you with respect to finance. If you are a NJ resident, it should probably be one of your top choices.

any others besides rutgers

GPA kind of low for UVA and Lehigh. According to the penn state bubble chart, it would be a reach. If you are a junior you still have time to bring up your GPA. But you have lots of great options. Good luck!

adding u of miami in florida and uconn maybe

A friends daughter goes to UVA and she told me their courses are mainly theoretical math, not applied.
