good undergrad pre-vet programs?

my sister wants to be a vet:)
i want to help her find some schools.
what are some schools with good pre-vet programs?
she perfers schools in new york since she will save money by going to in-state college.

i know for sure, Cornell is the best.. haha.

thanks in advance!

The pre-vet course sequence is essentially the same as the pre-med and pre-dent sequence. She can get these classes at just about any college or university in the country, and at most community colleges as well. The important thing would be for her to earn good grades in those classes.

Since you are in New York State, she should start with the College of Ag and Life Science at Cornell. She also could look at the College of Human Ecology there as well. On the website of the Vet school at Cornell, she should be able to find information about where the current students did their undergraduate work. That will give her an idea about which SUNY and CUNY institutions are better feeder schools for the Vet program.

Good luck to both of you!
