Goodbye Fordham

Welll, even though decisions have not been sent out, I just got accepted to George Washington ED, meaning i gotta go there, so I wont be going to fordham

Well I've missed your point.

well what i was trying to say was i was actuall looking forward to going to forhdam, and i really liked it....i wasnt expecting to get into gwu

Congratulations on your admission to George Washington University. As you know, when you apply early decision anywhere (cf. EA) you are bound by that decision, contractually UNLESS there is a legitimate reason to withdraw, such as inability to pay for it. That is the downside of ED. The upside is if it is truly your first choice school, then you get admitted to your "dream" school and off you go.

Yes, you must withdraw all other applications, and do so quickly so that Fordham (and others) become aware of your situation and they can give your "seat" to someone else who is worthy of admission.

I wish you the very best at George Washington. It is an excellent school in an amazing town. I am certain Fordham was going to admit you and we have likely lost a fine young man. Know that doors are always open at Fordham should things not work out at George Washington. Write them a nice letter of withdrawal. Call them today and let them give your seat to someone else.

Good luck to you in your endeavors.

Good luck at GW - but unless you are a Poli Sci major can't figure why you would choose GW over Fordham. Fordham is really one of the "secret" jewels on the East Coast.

thanks nocousin and ipaytuition!...yea gwu was on the top of my list though i doubt acceptance, i got into the ellott school of international affairs to makjor in international relations/ conflict and security, which imo is a better school for that major. However, any other major i think fordham is just as good as gwu or better. Ipaytuition i would have to agree with you that fordham is really a "secret" jewel and i think more people should know how good it really is....

..i actually just called Fordham to withdraw my application, along with the other schools i applied to, so that it can potentially free up spaces

GOOD LUCK EVERYONEEE!

Is it really a 'secret' jewel? What do you mean exactly?
