@pbjellay 3.8+; founded a startup; worked at VC and PE firms; a couple of awards in business/case competitions
Did anyone fill out the form for Competing Offers? What’s the impact on your application if you fill it out?
@pbjellay I am a senior at Northern Kentucky University. I have interned at Kroger technology and am currently at Macy’s corporate office. I graduate in December! My GPA is a 3.3!
I wish everyone luck! I am not counting on it either but I would be absolutely ecstatic if I got an interview!
@JaxsonZ I was going to, not sure what the impact is. But I think I have decided against it. The wait is killing me! Haha
@lysnek1 @JaxsonZ Good luck guys! I have a 3.9, president/founder of a tech club on campus, and founded a mentorship program. I have no related work experience which I think will work against me.
It seems like the BOLD program is favoring minorities? Anybody a minority?
Just got another email today asking me for my GPA but this time it’s from mbajobs not bebold
For point of clarity I am an undergrad haha
I also received an e-mail from mbajobs but I never applied.
@pbjellay same here. I filled it out regardless
@JaxsonZ I wasn’t asked for my GPA, it was an e-mail identical to the bebold e-mail I received yesterday. Ahh, hopefully it’s not a bad sign.
@pbjellay My school doesn’t follow the 4.0 convention so that might have been why. I also filled out the competing offer template just now
@JaxsonZ I just received an e-mail from bebold saying to disregard the mba e-mail, it was an error and I am still being considered for the bold internship. Same for you?
Just got an email from recruiting team stating to disregard the email sent earlier from mbajobs! Must have been a mix up.
Is there any way to update resume we submitted?
Yeah got the error email. Not too sure whether there’s a way to update your resume but if I had to guess then probably not.
Anyone know about whether you’ll be considered at locations other than your first choice?
@JaxsonZ you’ll be considered for other locations as long as you put that you were flexible about location in your application. if you only put your top two choices (and didn’t make one “i’m willing to be considered for other locations” or whatever, then you won’t be considered for any other places. i’m pretty sure the only places americans would be considered for the BOLD internship would be NYC, Ann Arbor, and MTV. there are other google offices, but they either aren’t taking non-technical interns, are outside of the country (Toronto), or required a separate application for their own internship (DC’s political advertising internship).
@JaxsonZ @pbjellay I got the same email from MBA program. They asked me for GPA too and I filled it out. They emailed me again after and apologized and said to disregard .
Got a first round interview offer for the Marketing team in Mountain View, CA!
Congrats @harvardlady!!! That is so exciting! Please let us know how your interview goes! Also, could you give us a brief description of when they contacted you and what day they set the interview up for, like how many days apart?
