Still haven’t heard anything from google at all
A friend of mine just got rejected from a residential site an hour ago.
rejected from residential
Rejected from residential, but got an invite to a google coursera online course.
Rejected from commute, invite to Coursera as well.
Isn’t Coursera free for everyone? What does an invite from Google mean?
Got rejected by NYC commuter program, but received an invite to apply to the Coursera invite-only program. It says in the email it’s essenitially a 12 month program where we learn content designed by Google engineers and will be able to access Google engineers for help and have access to technical interview prep, etc.
@bogeyorpar I think the Google invite is similar to something Google used to do called CodeU, which was also an invite-only program designed and taught by Google engineers.
Did not receive a Coursera invite in the email. Did anyone else not get it?
@dreambig18 My friend from my HS was rejected from the NYC commuter program, and he didn’t get the Coursera invite.
My application’s still in progress?
Hey guys! I got accepted into the one in Pittsburgh (I live in California though oof). Anyways if anyone else got into that location or cssi in general hmu :^)
ig: @gammaraymundo
Did any international student get accepted to a residential site yet?
hi all, I was placed on an extended waitlist of sorts — Google said they’d contact me if a spot at one of the residential sites opened! thought I would say this for anyone looking at this thread next year
Hey labrelum, congrats! We’re you informed just today?
@mdew192837 thanks! and nope, I was informed on the 8th. I was originally put on the waitlist on April 26th and Google said they’d lmk about my WL position by the 7th, but they didn’t contact me until the day after!
since i havent heard anything does that mean i will not get in?
@jo32el21
I haven’t either. They e-mailed me back saying that there are “many moving pieces” and that they’ll try to reach out to us by mid-week this week. I guess we’ll just have to sit still!
oh ok thanks @GinaVal
@sahilcrazy1978 Not sure but I haven’t gotten an answer yet.
