So does that mean only scholarship people will hear this week? I only applied for CSSI. Does anyone know if we will hear about it at the same time or later?
This waiting game has got me very anxious! I really hope that I was one of the people to go to cssi and I applied for the one in Cambridge. I haven’t received any e-mail from google about scholarship or anything… So anxious to know! Anyone else in the same boat? haha
@brandonag i applied for Cambridge a well i live in Maryland and i have yet to hear from google
where do you live? i applied for both the scholarship and the cssi program
fingers crossed
@Noogler I live in Washington, NC. Kind of a nowhere town haha I don’t have such an extensive coding background except for using Codecademy.com. I know this program will be a chance of a lifetime! Maybe if I don’t get the scholarship but just being able to attend the program will be life changing
@originalosei2
Do you mean that it won’t accept your email and password or that you can’t get to the application in general? I know when I tried before, there just wasn’t a link to the application anymore because the deadline had passed.
I sent an email to Google yesterday (4/22/15) and I got a response today:
My email:
Hello,
I was wondering if the CSSI team has finalized and notified all who have applied for the program already if they were accepted or rejected? I also applied for the Google Generations Scholarship and I wanted to know if I was awarded a scholarship?
RESPONSE //
Hi Brandon,
Thanks for reaching out. We will be notifying applicants by early May.
@brandonag Could you give us a link to the login page? Maybe I just didn’t look hard enough, but I couldn’t seem to find it. Also, that seems to be CSSI’s response to emails, regardless of what the email asks. I asked about technical interviews, you asked about the scholarship, and others have asked about other things, but we all have gotten the same email. It almost makes you wonder if it’s automated.
It might be copied and pasted but it’s not automated. I had a specific problem with my app and while it still had those words, the reply I got also addressed the problem with my app.
In case anyone asks for specs: Canadian Asian female IB student, already accepted into uni. Decent school and extracurricular involvement. 92% average. Only ever coded in css and html.
