I completed my Gopher Application on October 11th and it has now been 2 months and my application status still only says "Application complete". I heard that responses for gopher applications come faster but it has been 2 months.
When should I be expecting an admissions decision and is this a bad sign???

it means you were rejected. sorry to inform you.

Sorry to inform you you’re a total loser

Its not a bad sign.

@0to100girl - Did you call Admissions to find out what’s going on?

@anxious00 no should I? is it unusual to not have a response by now?

@0to100girl The UMN response has been very unpredictable - students with lesser credentials have received decisions, many others are waiting. The admissions office is generally helpful, so I thought you could find out what’s going on with your application.

I got my decision after exactly four weeks. I called UMn Admissions about two weeks after I submitted everything just to ask a few questions. They’re really nice and helpful, so maybe you should try doing the same? They managed to answer a lot of questions I had on how Rolling Admissions work!

Best of Luck!

You should keep on checking your application status. You will get a reply within a week or so after your status changes to “your application is being carefully reviewed.” I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about though

I’m in the same situation! I completed the Gopher Application in September but haven’t heard a response yet.

After signing into the gopher website it only tells us what we should do next (send transcripts). S did get a snail mail letter a month after he turned in the Gopher app saying his application was received. We never received a different log in/password to use on the regular website. Where can you see your application is still being processed. It’s been three months.

The Golden Gopher App is no different than the regular app, except for it makes applying slightly easier.

I finally found a # on one of the letters and followed the prompts on the website to sign in. Says expect admission answer mid February.

@Rdtsmith They won’t take that long to reply you back if you turned your application in September. They usually take 4-6 weeks. But if they are taking longer, it’s nothing to be worried about. You call them and ask them, they are really nice. Minnesota nice, you know. Btw what college have you guys applied to?

I emailed them asking them a couple of questions about admissions and they called me back and were very friendly and went out of their way to answer any question I had.

Thanks. S applied all over. All the rest are in the top 10 engineering schools in the US. Just waiting to hear from 3 more. Accepted EA to the rest.
