Got a 2.26 GPA 1st semester in college. Can I transfer to UCLA after soph yr w/ 3.68?

I am currently attending the University of Miami.

High School AP credits: (12 credits)

Had 4 classes in first semester, dropped 2 (W's) and got a B and C-. I dropped the 2 classes because becoming a doctor just wasn't for me. (2.26 GPA, 7 credits)

2nd semester: got relatively challenging courses and got required courses, got 6 A's (4.0, total 16 credits)

3rd semester: again, challenging courses and earned 5 A's (4.0, 15 credits)

Going to work as hard as I can to transfer to a UC (preferably LA) and come back to California, where I live.

Already applied earlier during the year, I want to see if I can transfer after sophomore year is over. Currently at 3.68, I want to see if I can bring it up to a 3.77. What are the chances of say UCLA or UC San Diego or UC Berkeley accepting me? UC Irvine? And…what about USC? I am majoring in Psychology. Thanks for any feedback.

I doubt for UCLA and UCB, but maybe UCSD if you can bring it up to 3.77, and yes for UCI as 3.68 for Psychology.

UCLA with a 3.77 and all recommended coursework and an 8/10 personal statement if say you’d have a good shot if you can line all those up, average GPA enrolled is 3.81 so a 3.77 isn’t too far off that.

UCB basically the same as UCLA but an 8.5/10 personal statement

UCSB with a 3.68 would be Great for psych

UCI Great!

USC no clue
