got a C+ in orgo 1

Should I retake it? How badly will this affect my chances considering all my other grades are A's.

1.) No.
2.) How would you like us to quantify badness?

I guess what I'm asking is am I still good for top 30 med schools, and does this grade deny my admittance to say top 5 med schools?

This grade does not automatically deny you anything. Obviously it makes a very difficult task even more difficult.

Also:<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-topics/213924-why-go-better-med-school.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-topics/213924-why-go-better-med-school.html</a></p>

C+ in orgo is pretty bad... retake it!

In most cases, retaking a class will result in the two grades being averaged. So even if you get an A the next time around, it won't be counted as a "real" A. You'd be better off proving that you can handle tough science courses by doing well in upper level classes.
