Got a deferred phone call!

I'm about 30 minutes from stanford, my friend got a deferred phone call while I didn't. This doens't seem to be looking too good for me.

Ahhhh....at least there's always Cal. Too bad they know it when they yell "backup school" at us at the games. At least, Cals won the big game the last few times...

no phone call.... cali here...

but there are 3 other amazing schools waiting for me... = P

hmm, whenever I got a call from a college I always told them that they were my first choice

so far its worked :D

both duke and berkeley accepted me

I called the admissions office and it seems like they aren't there today. Unfortunately it sounds like they won't be making calls for the rest of the week.

I live in So Cal and I got a call last night at 6:00 pm. So yes, they are calling people in California. BTW, does anyone know the admissions statistics for dererees getting in? Usually its around 100-150 right?

viking885, their site says the office is closed from today until the 4th, go figure

so does it mean for sure that I'm not in if I didn't get a call yesterday?

i don't know, but i'm hoping not
tho actually on their website they say their "phones" will be closed during that time period, not their office

so i'm hoping it means that they will not take any incoming calls, not that they won't make any

but still:

I GOT A CALL , but when i picked up they hung up. I live in HK...so they called at 4 am! Anyways, I got in today!

i got my call when it would have been approx. 7:30 pm in california. so i'm not sure if they're calling from their office
