I have a project in English that has to do with Romeo and Juliet. I'm making a news paper for it, and I must include and editorial. Does anyone have any ideas that I could use for that section of the paper?

Something responding to an article the previous day about the Prince giving one more warning to the warring families. It could be anti-Capulets and Montagues b/c they were causing a ridiculous amount of needless chaos.

EDIT: After reading MBP's post, I was confused. I thought it was supposed to be a creative writing thing. But if not, just forget about my post.

is it supposed to be a newspaper as though it happened now?
because if so, you could do the editorial on the senselessness of gang violence. Go on about how teens are dying over whose family they support.

Great idea Sunshineyday! Thanks! MBP, the paper is supposed to be one for the citizens of Verona, like it was an edition of the day after the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. But I really do like your idea, it remind me of the movie Freedom Writers!

lol, I hope your teacher gave more strict guidlines (not saying your OP was misguiding, or anything).
THis just goes to show how two people can read the same thing and get two completely different ideas.

i like your idea, sunshiney. The only thing about editorials is that you need to take a strong stand on the issue. and make sure to give solutions to any possible opposition's side.

Well her guidelines were a little more clear then mine, but she is a pretty laid back teacher so if i did something like you said I'm sure she would have been happy with it either way. That is a really good idea though, but I can't really use it because I have already completed most of the paper, and it wouldn't have really fit in with everything. But yeah I totally agree with you when you say two people can read something and get completly different ideas out of it.

That's a cool project though. My stupid class didn't even finish and ended up watching the crappy movie (sigh crappy teachers)
