I just got my ACT scores back and would now like to decide if I should focus on preparing for the ACT or the SAT. Here is some background info:

I had a tutor for quite a few weeks leading up to the March SAT. I took two proctored practice tests and got a 2070 on both (2120 super scored). My tutor said to expect to go down 50-70 points on the real thing, and that is exactly what happened. My scores were:
660 Reading
640 Math
710 Writing
(2010 Composite)

I was fine with this, and I believe that I could get that score up 100+ points with some work over the summer.

I then took the ACT with only one hour of prepping. That one hour was the first time I had ever seen the test, whereas with the SAT my school and tutor had been preparing me for it for some time. Here were my results:
34 English
28 Math
32 Reading
23 Science (OUCH!)
33 Combined English/Writing
(29 Composite)

Obviously my Science was atrocious, but I blame that on never seeing it or practicing it beforehand. Since I am fairly competent at Reading, and the two sections are similar, is it fair to think that with some experience I will be able to raise the Science considerably? Also, I'm not very confident that I'll do well on the upcoming SAT Subject tests, but most schools do not require those if you submit the ACT, correct? More importantly, should I start practicing the ACT, or stick with the SAT?

Thanks in advance for your input!
