Hey guys, I got denied to CSU: Long Beach ):
I have a 3.9 gpa and my sat is a 1440. It was my second choice and San Diego is my first. I’m really nervous now knowing that I got denied to Long Beach State. I also took two AP classes. I applied for the nursing major, if that plays a role in getting in. Please get back to me as soon as possible, thanks.
I can’t give you a straight out answer, but just to give you an idea, I was accepted to Long Beach with a 3.9 gpa and 1710 sat. 1160 composite. I applied under business. I’m still waiting on San Diego as well because it’s also my first choice. Good luck, I know it’s the most nerve wracking thing in the world, but you’re definately not alone 
to be honest, San diego state is more selective than CSU Long beach, so if you were denied from CSU there’s high chances you will be denied from san diego state. That being said, some people still get accepted at SDSU with your score, your GPA is good so you still have a chance.

I was accepted to SDSU with a 3.4 GPA an ACT of 27 and an SAT of 1820 if that helps at all. I am from Hawaii though so I am not really sure if that makes a difference. Best of luck
well congrats to you guys for being acceoted to long beach and san diego. I only got accepted to sacramento and chico state. Have any of you guys applied to uc’s. Im really interested in merced and Riverside but idk if I’ll get in. I’ve done sports for two years and have work experience and am in the top 9 percent of my school rank. Also, does your major have an impact on your admission or not?
yes, major has an impact. Science majors are more competitive in general
Still being considered for LB. Is aeronautical/aerospace engineering competitive at Long Beach?
SDSU’s nursing program is very competitive. Your chances are not good with that SAT score although your GPA is very good. Good Luck and hope for the best.
Would that be a 1440 CR+M or 1440 total SAT?

I also applied to SDSU and CSULB, but SDSU is my top choice. I applied under pre-nursing as well. You aren’t alone. I am super nervous as well.

Hey… Hate to be the bearer of Bad News, but SDSU is more selective than LBS. The Nursing major in general is also heavily impacted, so that slims your chances further. Your SAT score is especially dragging you down.

I just recently got accepted to Long Beach State with a 3.71 CSU GPA (3.94 weighted GPA) and a 27 ACT. Haven’t heard back from SDSU, but what are my overall chances? Also, when will SDSU send out the majority of admission decisions?

Someone in my class got waitlisted from long beach but accepted to sdsu.
Has anyone heard from Sdsu for pre-nursing?? if so, tell me your gpa and sat score. My friends are already getting acceptance letters from sdsu but they didn’t apply for nursing.
