I currently have a 1900. 720 M, 580 CR, 600 W. my goal is a 1400/2100. I plan on only focusing on reading and writing. Any suggestions, thoughts, advice would be much appreciated

If you haven’t already, buy the College Board Blue Book of Old SAT Exams, because that is the best practice. Maybe look over vocabulary word-lists.

When writing the essay, make sure to fill up both pages and write in neat handwriting, that will definitely skew the grader to give you a better score.

Good luck!

I don’t think you can do much about increasing your CR score in 2 weeks. CR is not like math where you practice your butt off and get 700+ eventually.

The best you can do is to get DirectHits , try to learn as much vocabulary as possible and , of course , practice. But the score increase in CR is more gradual so don’t expect wonders.

As for writing - it gets better with practice as well. Try to discover your mistakes and fix them.

Any thoughts on strategy for the two sections?

Don’t bother studying. just do the practice tests, and familiarize yourself with the test format

Spend a good portion of the two weeks (not really much time!) on preparing for the essay. Identify books and events that are likely subject matter for the essay and commit the major details to memory. Search for and review good examples of essays. Practice writing one or two and have a teacher or mentor review the essay with you.

Also the multiple choice writing is one of the easier areas to improve quickly. Go through as many writing questions from previous SATs as time allows.
