I just want to go from a 590 in October to a 600+ for Dec. Any suggestions?

Buy the Barron's book and learn the grammer stuff. It works.

I suggest using Sparknotes and taking the practice tests.

Yeah - do practice questions - and a lot of them. I did 40 the morning of the actual test and even though I seemed sorta rushed, I did remember things to pick up on during the actual test. I ended up with a 700, which is great for me; I was seriously expecting less than 600. On prior Barrons practice tests I got 25 wrong on MC. I wish I had my breakdown of MC and my essay score, but I won't have that for another week. For the essay, just jot down things that first pop to your mind and make a REALLY quick mini-outline so as not to just ramble in your essay. I think I at least got an 8, but probably higher. I omitted 6 on the MC section, so unless I got all remaining MC correct (which I highly), by essay probably had to be a 10. I couldn't see it getting an 11, but who knows. But most likely a 9-10 is what I got on the essay. Keep at it!

Get barrons book for sat ii writing and buy the online sparknotes writing tests. That combo works great :)
