i am so screwed for that gov test.

gahhhhhh.

yeah i just started studying recently. I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COMMITTEES.
Anyone have tips or pointers?

I think PR is similar to the actual, you need a score somewhere in the mid 80's for a 5. (120 total-60 pts.mc, 60 pts. essays).

sweet. a 4 wont be tooo bad. Just got to get ap national scholar this year!!
that would be awesome.

wait wait back up an 80 out of 120???
or an 80% of all the possible points (to very different things)
Printon says you need 49 out of 60 (so thats way harder than 80 out of 120)

he said mid 80s/120
I think i saw someone say in the '99 test u needed 86, so he seems about right.

You only need 80 out of 120 points to get a 5.

but i just want a 3..don't really care.

How strict r they on the FR?

I dno how strict but they take into account that you have only 100 mins.

according to the rubric, as long as you have an acceptable answer for each quesition, you get the points.

I really hope so.
This is the test im most concerned about.
I took sat today, have aps for the next 3 days. then more next week and the week after

What is the curve for a 3 on the U.S. Govt. and Comp. Govt. Exam?

I've heard that they're pretty strict when grading FR, but I hope this isn't true....

Actually, if you look back on the past FR rubrics...they look for very detail answers. So I would say they are pretty strict on it. They don't like you going forever on an answer..or you can call it elaborating on an answer. You need to pinpoint the answer and move on. But I mean, 25 mins per question is a really long time.

They're very strict. Look at FRQ scoring guidelines on AP Central. Gosh.

yeah it seems that they require certain answers. even if u write a gr8 essay but dont say the specific words tehy are looking for, u get points off.
STRICT RUBRIC. Easy answers. in basic terms.

Chill. We all have our share of questions :p

actually, the grading of the free response is similar to that of the ap calc exam. you get points for answering the question correctly and providing some support or commentary. it is unlike the apus exam which requires a thesis for each free response and all that stuff...yea

thx .
