Because of various scheduling mishaps for next year's schedule, I ended up with an empty period for which the only three choices were AP Gov, AP Stats, or AP Psych. I'm already taking bio, physics C, calc BC, Euro, and English (no, a language is not an option; I tried my best). All three teachers have a reputation for being okay to mediocre, so there's no clear standout. None of the subjects are really all that interesting to me.

If you had the choice, which would you take? In terms of difficulty, psych and stats are not that hard (to my understanding). All teachers being equal, is there a clear standout?

Psych may be ia cool class to take but since your taking euro you may be interested in history and such so I would advise you to take gov. I took gov this year it wasn’t hard at all and some parts were interesting.

^Actually, my main interests are in the sciences (I ended up in euro by another scheduling twist).

All three are easy. I’ve never taken Psych, but from what I hear it’s much easier than the other two. And Gov is laughably easier than Stats. Stats is ok.

Take Gov. It’s probably the most useful. Psych if you wanna have fun learning about cool stuff (I regret never taking the class). Take Stats if you’re masochistic or like to do menial tasks until your brain turns into mush.

Another thought: does your psych teacher have a degree in psychology?

Our only psych teacher at my school doesn’t have the degree, and my friend who took the class said it definitely put a strain on her experience. She went from wanting to major in psych to never wanting to near the class again.

Psych is awesome! I found the class very interesting. Read all the chapters and was fascinated by the topics. Maybe I loved the class a lot because of the wonderful teachers I’ve had, but you can’t deny that it’s not interesting …

Psych. At the very least, the textbook will probably be fairly interesting.
