Governor's School or Medical Scholars Program????

I have a dilemma--I am applying to two fairly prestigious summer programs, but I can only do one due to scheduling conflicts.

Which do you think would look better on an ED application to Johns Hopkins?

Choice #1: Mississippi Governor's School - spend three weeks at a college campus taking college and enrichment classes. Program is fairly selective, my counselor said that only one student per county gets in unless there are extra spots open.

Choice #2: Rural Medical Scholars Program - spend five weeks on a college campus taking two pre-med courses, shadowing doctors, and touring a medical school. This program seems to be a lot more selective because only 20 students from the entire state are accepted, so I'm thinking that this one may be the better choice.

If I'm accepted to the medical scholars program, I'm legally obliged to attend and cancel any other programs, so I wanted to be sure before I sent in my application.

I'll be applying ED to Johns Hopkins next year and I think that the medical program would look better, especially since I'll be a pre-med student, but I've also heard that Governor's School is one of the best summer programs available.

Any imput is appreciated

governor’s school is. choose that

anybody else?
