governors school vs other college programs?

i am not applying to PA's governors school for health care, but i was wondering how this might hurt me in the college application process. im having second thoughts and there still 3 weeks or so to apply, but the main thing thats holding me back is that its half of the summer and ill be taking home AP summer work that would need to be done. i was planning to do a discover hopkins program instead concentrating on health studies, and even though its not free, if you pass, youll get a college credit. and another upside is that its only two weeks. also, would doing the hopkins program also help me when i apply to the school?

i know these are a lot of questions, but thanks so much!

I went to the PA Governor's School For Teaching and it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. It was also one of the most fun, even though sometimes it got pretty stressful. Everyone I've ever talked to that was a govie said that it was a huge lifechanging experience. Yes, it's 'half the summer' but it is VERY worth it.

^whoa teaching? haha we don't have that (NJ)

Narcissa- PA has the only governor's school for teaching in the nation. Or at least that's what they kept saying to us.

Yup, PA is just that cool, hehe.
