So basically Temple would be a good choice and I would get accepted or should I look into other shcools such as Rutgers ,Ithaca or , st johns or Baron

Looks like speaking realistically Temple would be my only choice ? any one have any reocmmendations ....

If not my other 2 choices would be st johns and Itahaca

stil ver confussed ?????

What makes villanova so great that a 3.0 gpa won't get you in there? I think a 3.0 would, nova is no Harvard. Even if they don't let you in with a 3.0, Temple and Rutgers are probably just as good.

Villanova is a good school. It is on par with the Top 50-60 schools in the country. Some schools that would be in the same range would be Syracuse, GW, BU, Pepperdine, Penn State etc...

I been looking at New york city too .......

But im so confussed in which one ?????

Hosfra , Frodham or St johns ?????

SUNY Plattsburgh is relatively easy to get into, believe it or not. They accept most students w/"C" or higher in high school. However, this school is DEFINITELY up north - think half an hour away from Canada.

DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT go to St John's...I'm there now and I already filled out transfer apps to get the hell out of there and am waiting on responses. Even if they give u a lot of $$ don't go, thats how I got suckered in. Fordham is a much better school but I haven't heard much about campus life but its right next to one of the best shopping areas in the city- Fordham Road...

Fordham is also in the Bronx which is no the safest area around. Getting to downtown Manhattan is a bit of a hike (roughly 25-30 minutes) but once your there, you simply can not be bored.

I went to graduate school at SUNY Plattsburgh. Great campus, right off Lake Champlain. Nice small college feeling (I did my undergrad at Syracuse University, which was much larger), and somewhat diverse student population. Also, some outstanding professors and very friendly office staff. Very close to the Canadian border - about one hour from Montreal, depending on border crossing times. Strong programs in biology and Canadian studies. If you, however, do not like cold weather, do not even think about going there. Many people from downstate NY used to call Plattsburgh the land of the frozen tundra! On the other hand, if you are into winter sports, it is a paradise.

Frozen tundra? Haha, it's not THAT much colder than Albany! We do get a bit more snow, but there's not any of that messy lake-effect stuff going on over here.

The weather is hilarious at plattsburgh, one day it's 70 the next day it's snowing.

That is definitely true - white out two days ago with wind chills below zero and 45 degrees with sun today. It all stabilizes in the summer though.

Henesy:

Hofstra is on Long Island, maybe an hour train-ride to NYC. Its a good school, okay campus, most of the students are from Long Island.

Fordham has 2 campuses: One in the Bronx and one in Manhattan. A little harder to get into than Hofstra but still worth a shot with your GPA.

St. Johns is in Queens. I don't know too much else about it.

Thnaks for all the Info Lads really appreciate it .

I dont know I been stressing out and seeing which shool I can tranfer too for some reason :( .

Im aslo thinking of Temple University In Philly area , due to the fact they have a good business program

Right now realistically I have a shot at Temple University and hOFSTRA ....

Is Hofstra really worth it for a tarnsfer student out of state , does it have a good reputation and college life overall or should I look at Temple University...

I would love the fact of being able to experience NYC area and its surroudnings than Philly , but looking at it right now at those 2 schools are probably the reality . .

Is Fordham any good?
